GWP100 process Global warming potential

Global warming potential: Contribution of greenhouse gas emissions to global warming

The indicator "GWP process" describes the contribution of a trace gas to global warming. The greenhouse gas emissions are measured over a time horizon of 100 years and relative to carbon dioxide and are therefore given in kg-CO2 equivalents. The characterization factors according to ÍNORM EN 15804, Annex C are used for the calculation. For LCA data of older date (before the publication of ÍNORM EN 15804: 2014) the characterization factors according to CML 2001 v3.9 were used.

Evidence: Life Cycle Assessment according to "Criteria for inclusion of product-specific LCA data in the baubook".
