Verwendungsart laut ÖNORM B 6000:

XPS-R - Platte mit rauer Oberfläche, druckbelastbar, mit guter Putz- und Kleberhaftung, zur Wärmedämmung von Wärmebrücken, belüfteten Dächern und Decken. Unter diese Produktart fallen auch Platten, deren Oberfläche durch mechanische und/oder thermische Behandlung vollflächig eine raue oder geprägte Struktur erhalten haben.
