Fungicides are used to control fungi in order to prevent the growth of mould in sealants.
In most cases, the use of fungicides involves a certain risk for both the user and persons exposed to the materials treated with fungicides, as well as the environment. Before fungicides are used, it should thus always be verified whether they are actually necessary. Outside sanitary areas with high ambient humidity, strong antifungal protection is not necessary.
Sealants may not contain fungicides.
