baubook data and interface
Notes on the use of the data
The guideline and product parameters are based on Austrian standards and regulations and are intended for the calculation of energy and environmental performance indicators prepared as part of housing subsidy schemes in individual federal states or as part of a building authority procedure (energy performance certificate). In principle, the data may be used in other countries. The data is only suitable to a limited extent for use in building physics reports – this applies in particular to vapour diffusion calculations.
Liability
baubook GmbH accepts no liability whatsoever for the guideline and product specifications provided. These constitute a compilation of information received and gathered. The database therefore makes no claim to be complete or accurate. baubook GmbH is also not liable in the event that a grant is not awarded or is withdrawn due to incorrect manufacturer’s specifications. Further information can be found in the baubook Terms and Conditions.
Data retrieval via interface
For software developers or research organisations, automated data retrieval via an interface is recommended.
XML interface
- daily updates
- access via token
- documentation
REST API (NEW: incl. version archive)
- JSON
- complete OpenAPI schema
- generated clients (NSwag, Kiota)
- Swagger UI with machine-readable entry point for AI assistants (llms.txt)
- version archive (delta synchronisation)
- online documentation
Interface agreement and application form
For data integration into calculation programmes, we offer design and product parameters via an XML or REST API interface. To do so, please sign the baubook interface agreement for the use of the data.
Download interface agreement:
- for software and programme manufacturers »
- for research or universities »
Manual data retrieval (XML download)
Registered baubook users can download the design and product specifications free of charge. For some programmes, this step is already built into the software. For older programme versions, we provide the XML file as an import file for manual upload. The data can be downloaded in XML format and imported into the calculation programmes. Registration is free of charge.

Free registration is required to retrieve data manually.

If you are interested in obtaining Version 3.000 manually, please send us an email.
