klimaaktiv Bauen und Sanieren stands for energy efficiency, ecological quality, comfort and quality of workmanship. The klimaaktiv building standard makes the quality of a building measurable and comparable.
For the selection of building products, klimaaktiv uses the baubook platform klimaaktiv criteria and products, which has been tried and tested for years.

Planners, house suppliers and prospective buyers of houses or flats can find detailed explanations of the klimaaktiv criteria for building products, product declarations and manufacturers and dealers in the baubook klimaaktiv database.
For manufacturers and dealers:
You can declare your building materials according to the criteria of the klimaaktiv Building and Renovation programme in the baubook head office.
klimaaktiv Bauen und Sanieren
klimaaktiv is the climate protection initiative of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology. Since 2004, klimaaktiv has been covering all key technology areas of sustainable energy use with the thematic focus on ‘Building and renovation’, ‘Saving energy’, ‘Renewable energy’ and ‘Mobility’.
klimaaktiv makes an important web contribution to climate protection with the development of quality standards, active consulting and training as well as broad-based information work. klimaaktiv serves as a platform for initiatives by companies, provinces and municipalities, organisations and private individuals (www.youtube.com/klimaaktiv).
klimaaktiv and the Energy Efficiency Law
Please note that the programmes and initiatives of klimaaktiv for increasing energy efficiency and the implementation of klimaaktiv by the Austrian Energy Agency are not a substitute for the obligations under the Energy Efficiency Law and are not considered to be expert opinions or statements to the National Energy Efficiency Monitoring Centre. The processing and registration of reported data by the Monitoring Centre is independent of the content of the klimaaktiv co-operations.
If services or subsidies are provided as part of the cooperation with klimaaktiv that can be recognised as measures of strategic instruments within the meaning of the Energy Efficiency Law, crediting is only possible in accordance with the provisions of Section 27 (4) Energy Efficiency Law. This must be taken into account by the contractual partner(s) when reporting measures pursuant to § 9 to 11 Energy Efficiency Law.
