- The OI3 calculation has been supplemented with the OI3_BGX_BZF_LZ (OI3 over the life cycle according to the OI3 Guideline v.5.0). This OI3 calculation is activated when "Replacement (B4)" and "Disposal (C1-C4)" are to be considered.
- The methodology for modeling disposal in renovation projects has changed. Previously, the disposal of the existing building was not considered during renovation; only the disposal of replacement building materials was taken into account. The OI3 Guideline v.5.0 now stipulates that the disposal of existing building materials must be considered for the OI3 LZ. The calculation in eco2soft has been adjusted accordingly.
- No data is yet available in the current guideline catalogs for the disposal of building services materials. The OI3_BG5_BZF_LZ and OI3_BG6_BZF_LZ values can therefore only be calculated without building services materials.

- The new catalog "IBO Reference Values 2026" (currently in beta) is a minor update of the "IBO Reference Values 2023" according to the OI3 Guideline. It is therefore still based on EN 15804+A1. Further new reference values will be added by the end of June.
- Unfortunately, we cannot yet publish the guideline catalog "IBO Reference Values EN 15804+A2" as negotiations regarding the license fees for the background data are still ongoing.

- In the OI Guideline v5.0, dated January 2026, an additional service life of 50 years for multi-layer parquet flooring has been added (prerequisite: minimum 3.5 mm wear layer thickness). This has been incorporated into the service life catalog. Therefore, a selection between 25 and 50 years must be made in eco2soft.

- aspern klimafit 2.0 is the new building standard in Seestadt Aspern. Proof of quality criterion 5 – CO2-reduced building construction can be provided using the “aspern klimafit 2.0” catalog of parameters and in compliance with the “aspern klimafit 2.0 modeling rules” via eco2soft. Further information and instructions on life cycle assessment can be found here.
- aspern klimafit 2.0 is not intended for the OI3-calculation!

- There is a new results sheet "GWP evidence" that can be used for EU taxonomy etc.
- When transporting and disposing of building materials, the efforts for replaced building materials (from module B4 exchange/replacement) are now also displayed.
